Privacy Policy
Last updated: 16 June 2026
This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this pre-launch website (pineapple.cards and its subdomains).
Who we are
This site is operated by We Love Local Guides Ltd (trading as Pineapple Card™), a company registered in England and Wales, Company No. 15931264. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration ZC132392, and are the data controller for the information you provide here.
Contact for any privacy matter: privacy@pineapple.cards.
What we collect
When you join our waitlist or register your interest, we collect the information you give us:
- your name;
- your email address;
- the location you tell us (town, city or country);
- whether you're interested as a member, vendor or brand/partner; and
- which cards or markets you select.
Our hosting also automatically processes standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) in server logs, for security and to operate the site.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use the information you submit to register your interest and contact you about the launch of Pineapple Card in your area, including letting you know when your card or vendor sign-up is available. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw consent at any time (see "Your rights").
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not sell it.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers ("processors") to run this site, who process data only on our instructions:
- Supabase — secure database hosting for your submission;
- Resend — sending email (including any notification or reply);
- Vercel — website hosting.
These providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) apply. We do not share your information with any other third parties except where required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist information until we launch in your market and for a reasonable period afterward to contact you, or until you ask us to remove it — whichever is sooner. After that it is deleted.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; have it corrected; have it erased; restrict or object to its use; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email privacy@pineapple.cards and we will respond within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, though we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Cookies
This pre-launch site uses only essential cookies needed to operate it. See our Cookies notice for details.
